The HEC Paris Campus

HEC Paris is located on a 340-acre wooded campus, 12 miles (20km) southwest of Paris, from where the culture, history, and charm of the French capital are easily accessible. Here you will find a comprehensive list of all our amentities, both on campus and in the nearby village of Jouy.

GETTING TO CAMPUS

Self-Service Restaurant

At our self-service restaurant, students can choose from several different types of cuisines, including Asian, a vegetarian plate, fresh pastas, pizza, meat from the grill, fish of the day, salads and desserts for lunch and dinner. Lunch and Dinner cost around €5. You may pay with cash, a credit card or your student card. Opening times are as follows:

S-Building Cafe

In the MBA building, there is a small cafe open everyday from 7:30am – 4: 30pm. This is a popular place for our MBA students during breakfast, study breaks or for lunch. Here they sell a variety of breakfast items, snacks, salads, sandwiches and drinks.

HECoffee

Students go here for coffee, lunch or snacks. Located in the center of the T building, HECoffee is open weekdays until 2:30pm.

Food Trucks

Food trucks are often on campus just outside the T building for lunch and dinner.

Gustave

Gustave is a new multipurpose space which houses a restaurant, coworking area and tearoom. They sell a selection of healthy and eco-friendly dishes, prepared fresh on-site, using seasonal ingredients. Gustave is open Monday-Thursday from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm and on the weekends as follows:

Wunderbar

This student-run bar is located next to the gymnasium, and is open Monday-Wednesday from 10pm.

Infirmary

Open every day except Sundays 8:30am-9pm. Emergency hours are 9pm-7am – please dial ‘100’ from the phone found in the Infirmary. Walk-in appointments are available on Wednesdays 9am-1pm.

Chapel

We have a multi-faith chapel on the campus which is open to everyone.

Computers

Computers are available for student use in the MBA building, but most students already have a laptop or buy one upon arrival. In addition to a WiFi network, free internet access is available from the computers in the HEC Paris MBA building and the student rooms. The six computer labs on campus are equipped with PCs, scanners, laser printers and multimedia equipment.

Library

The Campus Library is open 24 hours a day; 7 days a week. It includes 60,000 books and e-books on management, 7,000 books on general topics and 3,000 student projects, theses, and working papers. There is also a choice of 1,500 newspapers and periodicals, including 700 online periodicals, and access to more than 50 online business and academic databases.

Language Center

The Language Center is open to all students and gives them the opportunity to practice French as a foreign language, Chinese, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish. The center is equipped with DVDs and videos with free access to linguistic tools, films, cultural D-ROMs, magazines and dictionaries.

Sports

The 300-acre campus offers a vast number of sport facilities, including 8,000m² of sports fields consisting of a rugby pitch, two football fields, an outdoor track and tennis courts. Also available are a gymnasium with indoor basketball and tennis courts, a weight room, a climbing wall, a martial arts room and a dance studio. A nine-hole golf course is located nearby.

Banking

During orientation week, French banks are invited to the MBA building to help students set up banking accounts at their nearby branches. In Jouy-en-Josas, students will find a number of bank branches. There is also an ATM machine by the main reception area on campus.

Supermarkets

A small shopping complex with a large supermarket, a restaurant and a spa/hair salon is located within a 5 minute walk from the campus entrance.

Farm

La Ferme de Viltain is approximately a 10 minute walk from campus; you can buy and pick your own fresh vegetables, fruits, meats and diary products.
